- The top quarter panel of the schedule is for filing efficiency (practice day and date). This section shows what will be covered in Walks and Teams. The * tells the coach what will be called for in Winning Edge. Walks (walk-throughs) will last 15 minutes.
- The body of the schedule is divided in half. The left side (Groups/Team) details what shall occur in every period in which a group and/or team come together. The right side (Indy/Units) details what shall occur when a single group (backs, receivers, line, etc) work individually.
- Each period will last five minutes
- Every practice begins with Warms (warm-ups). This segment lasts five minutes and is always separated into position groups; the offensive line and everyone else.
- The next segment is always Special Teams Fair. We will detail this and teams in greater detail in Chapter Thirteen.
- The GPS practice schedule is color coded for an “easy on the eyes” quick reference guide to let coaches know exactly what’s happening in practice.
- Orange = Teams, Red = Shells, Green = Inside Run, Blue = S27, Purple = 11-11 Situational. Any black text on the schedule generally means individual or basic notes for the day.
- The meat of the schedule is comprised of twelve periods. A period will last five minutes. It is important to note that the coach that keeps the time will not start the period clock until every unit is in place to begin their first rep.
- Indy/Opps takes place at the end of practice for players and/or position groups needing individual attention for busted assignments/skills during periods 1-12
Adjusting days one through three (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) Gps practices
GPS is a "plug and play practice schedule. The format and template does not change. We at S2A plugin the concepts that are in our System that apply for the week's game plan. For a two platoon personnel team Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday schedules only change by how the coaching staff applies the concepts in each period.

- Periods 6 and 7 are replaced (was Inside Run) with Teams periods.
- This extra allotment of time is to accommodate for any Teams that need extra time and reviewing
- Winning Edge periods denoted by a * can still be dispersed throughout the practice
A Teams checklist and a special team fair diagram will be added below the next section (at bottom)

one platoon section
Coaches that employ a two platoon system must be much more judicious in their use of practice time. It is our belief as proponents of the S2A System of football that all facets of football (ODK) must be practiced daily, therefore GPS for two platoon teams indicates such.

NOTE: Day 1 has an Offensive emphasis. Notice an O or a D before each period. The O or D tells the staff which side of the ball takes emphasis for that period.
